Donations to Mystic Mashup Indivisible help us continue to defend democracy!
Two years ago, following the 2024 presidential election, Mystic Mashup Indivisible emerged in the form of a handful of concerned community members from Medford, Malden and Everett. Since that time, it has grown to more than 150 involved community members, including a robust group of Somerville residents.
Events and activities put on by MMI to date have depended largely on donations from a core group of members. They have been footing the bill for postcards, stamps, promotional items, supplies, web hosting, software and newsletter services. This is not sustainable. As we continue to grow, we require a true operating budget.
We now need support to cover operating costs including printing materials, renting spaces for meetings and events, covering outreach costs, and generally keeping our organizing efforts running strong — all while remaining a grassroots, people-powered group.
This is where you come in. We need your support, whether it’s $10 or $100. Every dollar you give stretches our impact further and helps us continue to grow.
We probably don’t have to tell you about all the ways that MMI has created opportunities to practice democracy where we live — through on the ground actions, learning and community building, but let us brag for a moment! Examples include involvement in the successful Citizens Bank boycott, writing postcards to voters in swing states, co-leading Medford May Day, offering civil resistance trainings, and co-sponsoring local midterm candidate forums.
We collaborate with numerous local, state and national organizations including Indivisible MA Coalition, Progressive MA, Indivisible Somerville, Safe Medford, LUCE, Medford Community Response Network, Mystic Valley Voters’ Forum and more. Perhaps most importantly, MMI offers opportunities for hope and optimism by showing what a small group of ordinary people can do when they work together toward a shared vision.
